Cold Laser Therapy in Oakland
Persistent pain, swelling, or a recent sports or auto injury can make even simple tasks tough.
Cold laser therapy offers a gentle, noninvasive way to calm irritated tissues so you can feel and function better. Dr. Peter Rehl uses the Erchonia XLR8 low-level laser to reduce inflammation and support healing, often alongside full-body chiropractic care at Structural Chiropractic. It’s safe, targeted, and surprisingly quick.
Low-level laser therapy uses specific light wavelengths to stimulate your cells and their energy centers. The light is absorbed by mitochondria, which can boost ATP production and support circulation and tissue repair. Sessions are quick and comfortable—you may feel mild warmth or nothing at all.
How We Can Help
Cold laser therapy can support relief and healing for a variety of conditions. While every plan is personalized, patients often choose laser therapy for concerns such as:
- Sports sprains and strains with pain and swelling
- Auto accident injuries, including whiplash-related soft-tissue damage
- Overuse issues such as forearm, elbow, or shoulder soreness
- Tendonitis or mild nerve irritation; select post-operative healing as advised
laser works best as part of a structural chiropractic plan focused on restoring motion and alignment. We’ll also teach simple home care so you can continue to improve between visits.

What to Expect
After your consultation and exam, your plan may include laser therapy alongside instrument-assisted adjustments using Impulse IQ and Activator Methods. These handheld tools deliver precise, measured impulses without twisting or “cracking” of the joints.
Most laser applications take about five minutes per area, and we track your progress visit by visit. When needed, we refer for X-rays. Medicare, Motor Vehicle Accident, and workers comp cases are welcome.
